Looking for Help?

439,000 non-elderly Virginians (0-64 years old) are without health insurance, making doctor visits and prescription medications difficult , if not impossible, to afford.

The Virginia Health Care Foundation is dedicated to helping uninsured and medically underserved Virginians obtain the health care they need. This includes medical, dental and mental health care; free or low-cost prescription assistance; and help applying for state-sponsored health insurance (Cardinal Care aka Medicaid). VHCF also supports Virginia’s Free Clinics, Community Health Centers and other health care providers who care for the uninsured.
