
The Pharmacy Connection, TPC, is a software program created by the Virginia Health Care Foundation that facilitates access to free medications for Virginians with chronic illnesses.
TPC has generated over $528 million in free medications for more than 148,000 eligible uninsured Virginians since its 1997 inception.
Most brand name pharmaceutical companies operate Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) which provide free prescription medications for income-eligible patients. Because each PAP has its own application, eligibility criteria and application process, the burden of determining eligibility, filling out paperwork, keeping up with reapplications, and preparing reports made participating in these PAPs an overwhelming task. That's why TPC is so valuable.

TPC is more than just computer software. It has become an indispensable tool for many Free Clinics, Community Health Centers, hospitals, medical practices and other social service and community based agencies which rely on it to help their patients.
